We are trying to finish some of the small orders that have been here forever. We got 3 or 4 of them done this afternoon.
The first one is a custom Blackhawk for Brian Tonnacliff. The gun was cut down to 5", with our interchangeable blade front sight and the black ramp blade. We did the Positive Performance Package to it and built some Mongolian stag grips for it. We then did a deluxe Black Chromex finish to it. Brian had an aluminum gripframe on the gun and we can't reblue aluminum so nothing we can do about that except we did a baked on black paint to it. All in all a really nice Blackhawk.

next we have a Ruger Vaquero for Brian Pumphrey. Brian wanted the Positive Performance Package, straighten up a bent front sight, true up the accuracy, build a 45 ACP cylinder and fix a broken grip sight dowel.

Next I have a Vaquero for Carlos Delgado. All he needed was a 45 Long Colt cylinder made for it.

Next we have Bob Dennings new baby. This is a Century Arms 45-70 revolver. Bob wanted us to polish the brass frame and gripframe, slick up the internals, blue the barrel and cylinder, plug the scope mount holes in the top strap, build a new set of grips and install front and rear sights. We did all that and it now looks almost new. But there is a problem Bob needs to talk to me about. Here is his 45-70.

Nice! My favorite is the Old Model of Brian's.

When I was a kid I thought the idea of such a gun too wild to conceive. I’ve owned two BFR’s. I finally exceeded .454 performance using very heavy bullets. Not sure to what improvements, but it was fun trying. Very impressive quality revolvers and superb accuracy. I understand Pine Tree Castings (Ruger) makes the frames for Magnum Research.

That Denning Cannon’s frame is made from some special bronze alloy if I remember correctly.

KEITH'S WAS A POORLY

CRAFTED SIXGUN. HE LATER HAD A CENTURY. MY FRIEND THE LATE STU BRAINARD BUILT THE FIRST WHICH ACTUALLY WORKED. IT IS ON THE COVER OF AN EARLY 1960s GUN WORLD.

I did not realize Bob was eight feet tall
