On Friday a couple of local Amish families were traveling to the Susquehanna River for an afternoon of fishing and picnicking. They were riding on a flatbed wagon being pulled by a small tractor driven by the father of one of the families. He lost control of the tractor on the winding road and rolled off the road and down the embankment. The 36 year old mother along with her 14 year old and 7 year old daughter were killed along with another young boy. The father survived but his seriously injured. Several others are in serious or critical condition. My father-in-law knows the one family and spent most of yesterday driving members of the Amish community to the hospital and brought one of the kids that suffered minor injuries home. I’m sure the Stolzfus and Fisher families would be thankful for our prayers.
