Nice cool morning .. the two grandsons and I went out in the yard under the trees and had about an hour of shooting lessons. We used the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun.
I set a plastic bottle on a bucket and we started shooting at about 10 feet. They were both hitting it consistently so we backed up about 3 feet and shot some more. They both were knocking it down, so we backed up again. We did this until we got to the place where they were missing consistently. I moved 'em a bit closer and we spent the rest of our time shooting from there.
After 45 minutes or a bit more they were both tired of holding the gun up and getting a bit shaky so we called it a day.
The boys are 8 and 6 and the younger one seems to be a more "natural" shot ... though they both enjoy it.
