on my .22 rimfire range. We have been getting heavy rains but I made this range so I could shoot on bad weather days.

Using my old Single Six that my Dad bought around 1962 or 63. He modified it quite a bit and sighted it for .22 Shorts which he used a lot of in those days. They were cheaper than the Long Rifle ammo. I saw him shooting the end of a beer can at about 80 yards with it, using Shorts. He kept 8 out of 10 on the end of the can.

I shot some Aguila shorts in it this morning. This is one of the better targets. The gun will do better than this but any more I have a hard time seeing the sights, especially in indoor light.

I was shooting between 20 and 25 feet ...but it is minute of rat.

I did about as good with the little Shopkeeper Bearcat.

The story behind the gun is here - https://leverguns.com/articles/taylor/family_gun.htm if you are interested.

I've always liked that gun and that account...

AK Church gifted me an OM Single Six years ago. I hope someday to find a barrel to put on it similar to what your dad did. In the meantime it does a great job - if I do my part. The year I took these pics I scored better on squirrels with that little sixgun than I did with a scoped rifle.
