S&W Model 350 as a GNR platform

The recent announcement by S&W had me scratching my head. I'm not generally opposed to rimless cartridges in revolvers, but in the massive X frame, I don't know if you need the pros of a quick-loading moon-clipped round. Certainly, it doesn't outweigh the cons.

That got me thinking, would it be worth "fixing" this error? Perhaps rechambering for a 355 GNR (or, with a re-boring and re-rifling of the barrel, 400 GNR or some other 30-30 based cartridge)? The case/overall length may require reducing ever so slightly (perhaps not with flat point bullets).
