the shop, unloaded 5 or 6 Jack Russells (we usually have 8 or 10 of them in the shop every day) and spent 30 minutes getting the guns out of the safes. A young fellow came in and bought some 45 Long Colt ammo. When I started to give him his change the register was empty. I told him to hang in there a minute and went back out to my truck. The keys were in the ignition and the money bag and checkbook were on the front seat. Like Denning, stupid but lucky.
