I only see animals for 4 people. What did Scotty Boggs and Roman, Irv Coutts, Randy Barnett, Ray and Danielle, Erik and Nick, Michael Mendes and a couple of others shoot?
Winn. Can you please

I have a couple of pictures of the pig in the wallow.
I don't know how to put them on the forum.
I am looking for a bronze trophy company to commemorate a certain recurring event.
That was supposed to be mudhole.Damn spell check

Hello James,
I love waking the boars. This is by far my best boar to date. And, I doubt I'll ever out do it. But I will try!
The trophy fee was $1800.00. Money well spent! I'll be back next year!
Meet some great people and made some good friends!

very first animal with a .378 GNR Freedom Arms. It was hit a little low for a head shot and blew out the back of the jaws. So the race was on. Denning took a pot shot at it one handed with a monstrous .45/70 revolver while holding a baby pig. It ran by Roman who was armed with Denning's Reeder .44 Special SA "Accountant's Special" and scored a spine shot. Not finished though, the thrashing hog took several .45 ACP 230 gr. FMJ before giving up the Ghost.
Recounting; that incident, forever cast a new handgunning convert, enshrined Hog hunting in young minds, and both scored points for the .44 Special and displayed, factually that the .45 ACP is not exactly a hog cannon. They are challenging and tough. The normal sized hogs had increased in price to $1045.00 and processing is $225. Still a bargain for the adventure. Roman and I did not shoot animals otherwise but enjoyed ourselves and tipped Lynn and the Gals well that cooked all the wonderful meals. I'm learning the boy about those kind of things. I came home quite foundered.
Roman and I did bring a "case" of CVA Muzzleloading banded bullets in carded packs to raffle off. Many misfits contributed very generously. Also we had a nice shoot at a newly constructed shooting area the Wilson's built. That was Saturday afternoon. Irv, who is suffering back issues, stayed close and guarded the gunshow area. That was comforting. We had good internet service in the lodge and some phone service too.
The BEST hog killing story I EVER heard was produced by Lynn Tharpe's grandson who ran short of ammo in a SIG .45 and literally attacked a lightly wounded hog repeatedly with a pen knife. They usually charge extra for that (knifing a hog), but I think the boy earned the discount. He finished with a borrowed .308 from a passer-by. But I do no justice to the tale.
Alcorn did a swell job but I could tell it was taxing on him. Bob Denning and I enjoyed ourselves so much we roughly planned to join forces to sponsor next year pending the outbreak of WWIII. How we are going to kidnap Gary Reeder for a flight into Nashville, we have a whole year to figure out.
That was Winn's boy not Lynn's, that's right.

has a special flavor all it's own. I'll look for a photo. Other than that, it's a 4-5/8" stainless with gunfighter grip.
We went as non hunters but...

While hiking around I came across this monster. I had to put it down out of self defense.
We went for the good company. We are saving for Africa next year.
Sorry about some of these. No matter how many times I rotate or change them some still come out sideways.

No pics of mine, but used my .500 Maximum, with a 530 grain bullet, needless to say it worked.
Nick's hog taken with his suppressed 6.5. Kind of different trying to get farther away from the target than sneaking up on it, one shot through the ears.
I rode down with Erik and Nick

As a non hunter on this trip. Got to video and take pics of quite a few hunts. I’ll let the hunters show their pictures. Wanted to hand deliver a box of raffle prizes, and add one more body to the count. We had enough people there, that we were able to have the big lodge to ourselves. Great time, and it sounds like enough continued participation to keep it going. Thank you Gary for the Donated items, I was fortunate enough to win a couple. They will be happily enjoyed.
I was there for fellowship and photos
