Just about an hour out of surgery, all good.

This silly little hernia thing kept me from fully enjoying HHC this year. But I enjoyed the fellowship with Irv and we got to drive around at Alan’s big place by his house. He had lots of Elk and Water Buffalo. It seems he was fostering his premium hogs over there. Not sure if Denning had been there before.

Early Oct. is always loaded for me and coincides with AR property tax time too. I’ve struggled dropping several thousand then going off to TN. I must budget better! The fellowship is so nice, but Gary’s presence is sorely missed. I know he was loaded up too. I just want him to know how much we love and miss him when he’s not there. But we had a good time following what he established, how he set things up. Hunts, Sat. Shoot, Sat. Evening raffle. Plus the perpetual gun show and discussions. If we can instill the value in the younger bunch HHC is bound to continue years past many of us older guys.

I could tell it was a little taxing for Alcorn but I really appreciate him. He gifted me a cool box of Norma .358 Mag. ammo I truly cherish. The HHC is really special, something spiritual, the connections. Thanks to all who attended. If you didn’t, look over the pics, read our comments and how much we like it. It’s worth your consideration for sure!

join all you Misfits at the hunt. Looking at Randy's pics below is enjoyable as I can remember taking various animals in each of those areas shown.
Take care of yourself Monsieur Boggs and maybe both of us can make the next HHC.And maybe we can talk these Misfits into joining us....

that you are recovering. I haven’t been to an HHC since 2015. I haven’t been able to hunt either. My life has changed considerably and I long for for some parts of my old existence which includes HHC. I know that God has a plan for me …. I just wish he’d share a bit of it!

I hear you, me and others too, same boat.

That’s what makes HHC so unique. It changes slower and with the people it feels familiar in a good way. Re-energizes somehow. The changes are less noticed, no matter how big.

Huge new chow hall cabin, new shooting spot as noted. Some years the corn is on, others not. Morning Glory takes over, but that’s ok too. Guys come and go (some permanently, but the memories linger) but always kindred spirits to share the time.

Good to hear WB!
