Clarify, the Richards type conversion

carries the firing pin in the rear section, used with the cylinder assy., carrying the loading gate, and uses the C&B normal hammer? My 1872 uses a hammer mounted firing pin much like the 1873 Colt, with a frame mounted gate.

On some variations it looks like there is a little hump also for a better rear sight reference.

I really like the little shorty in the green background photo. However I think a 5.5" with ejector would be very handy and rival a modern SA in basic utility.

That .45 S&W is not a bad idea, no mixing up with hotter .45 LC.
