A 6-shot GP100 frame or a much larger Redhawk size chassis? I have a custom that uses S&W 646 .40 moon clips. Was wondering what Ruger really did? Maybe the clips would fit my gun.

It's a 6-shot GP100 frame

Just like the 3" GP100 from a few years back.

Maybe they will work. They made a RH 6-shot 10 also

Seems such a waste, should be an 8-shot on that massive chassis. That was confusing me. Mine is a rebored .357 cylinder, maybe Ruger kept the same cylinder dimensions. I’ll see. Those little full moon clips are around $4 each! Then to order the wrong ones.

10mm or 10mm magnum? 6 inch barrel?

I thought about lengthening the chambers to magnun length. This is exactly the same as the rimmed ancient .401 Herter's, or 1.25" cases. I think it's more trouble than it's worth to me. A 200 gr. bullet at 1300 fps is easy and all I need for this.

The 10mm is no cannon. A common .357 Magnum can push a 180 gr. at 1350 fps to equal the 10mm with greater sectional density. Not many consider this. Upping the ante to 200+ grs. helps. Ditto tough for the .357, I shoot the RCBS 200 gr. .35 rifle projectile at 1200 fps from the .357 revolvers.

We have chambered quite a few 10mm revolvers

to 10mm Magnum. I think Puffy was the first to have his revolver rechambered and that would have been at least 20 years ago shortly after the 10mm Magnum cartridge first came out.

I've only really been lurking here for

The past three years after having been absent for quite a while and I noticed that Puffy isn't on here anymore. Did he pass away?

Sadly yes, very suddenly.

He had a torn meniscus and surgery on his knee. It did not heal well and gave him some terrible trouble with inflammation. I got word he had a blood clot break away and travel to his heart, brain, lung, etc. and he just fell over at work, dead.

He was a very intelligent and kind man. He truly loved his family and enjoyed the forum and HHC events. I'll certainly miss him all my remaining years. I occasionally see pics of his family online, the boys seem to be doing well.

I'm definitely sorry to hear that

He surely added some color to the group and didn't have a cross word said that I can remember. If I remember correctly, he ended up with my titty pink Desert Eagle forever and a day ago.

Must have been 10 yr. or better I traded with him

For a .357 Desert Eagle. The slide heat treating turned quite plumb color. We had a lot of fun with it. I sold it don’t time later. Wonder if that was it?!

This one was a titanium carbon nitride

Coated XIX in 50ae. I had traded Gary the 50 for a conversion and then he had sold it to Puffy. It was almost like a new penny in appearance.

Puff died on Oct. 24th, 2017,

It is called the 338 Razorback, was looking at info on some 8.6 Blk out thing and came across that squat little 338.

Those look like useful.
