TC Contender problem?

In two weeks, I am going on a hunting trip. Needless to say, this is the worst time for something to go wrong.

The plan is to use a Super 16 in 4570 for deer. I went to the range and had some issues.

1. Out of 20 rounds it appears I have three light primer strikes. This resulted in misfires. Something I do not want to have on a hunt .

2. The gun locked up on an empty chamber three to four times. It took some fiddling to open the breech. I am not sure what would do that.

3. I believe I may have blown the scope. I have a 2x Burris mounted on it and I had some issues sighting it in. I noticed that the adjustments were off. As an example, I adjusted the reticule two clicks to move it to the left and the shot went several inches off! Something is not right.

4. In the past the 4570 barrel was rather accurate. Now it seems to have opened up for a lack of a better term. I do believe that is a scope issue.

The frame is an original Armor Alloy frame. I know that it works on the 22 K Hornet. In fact, that combination is practically a one-hole group.

The other plan is to use a blued Contender with a 44-magnum barrel. Needless to say, I am a bit perplexed.
