That's a great song by a lady who knows horses.

I sure learned to listen to mine. Ole Hud taught me a lot. He loved to hunt and knew what we were doing. And he would look for game. If I rode up on top of a ridge and started looking the area over, he would also. If his ears went up and he started looking intently at a certain place I learned that there was something there, whether I could see it or not.

One day I rode up to the edge of a good size canyon and sat in the saddle looking the area over. Hud started to turn around, looking back past me. I turned him back to the canyon and he tried to turn around again. The third time he did this I let him turn and looked where he was was looking and there, less than 200 yards off, was a nice herd of Javelina feeding!

He taught me to listen!
