I was planning on taking the Dragoon I bought from Gary and seeing how accurately I can load it and shoot it. That'll wait. We need the rain and I ain't complaining.

The Dragoon is by Uberti and has not been used much if at all.

I took it apart and cleaned it, polished some of the interior parts and opened up the little bitty "V" rear sight notch. I need something a bit wider and deeper.

I am pleased with the gun. The chambers and the barrel take a .457" diameter ball. The .457" ball cuts a nice little ring of lead when you seat it. Pushing a ball through the barrel showed a good fit and no tight or loose spots.

It is quite a lot larger than a SAA!

I am looking forward to shooting it and learning it. Thinking it would be fun to whack a deer with it.

Consecutive serial numbers. I have totally disassembled both of them, clean them thoroughly, smoothed out any burrs, honed everyplace steel meets steel, and replaced the factory nipples with SlixShots. However, my shooting season is over until spring.

Will they end up being in a magazine article?
