I really liked the .475 Linebaugh. John built me one on a Ruger Bisley and I shot quite a bit of game with it. I took this nice red hog at the long distance of about 15 feet.

400 gr. LBT LFN at about 1400 fps.

That is a really great cartridge, IMR4227 is your friend as far as recoil ic concerned. Not the highest velocity, but fast enough with a 400 grain cast bullet.

it's no more than 100 fps under the very hottest loads and is a lot more stable. It, for some reason, gave me top velocity with cast 180 gr. bullets in the .356 GNR!

400 grain Lee bullet powder coated, 24.6 grains of IMR4227 and seated to the crimp groove. I believe that runs 1000 to 1100fps. Go up from there until you bleed or have had enough.

loads were about the same. It worked well enough to begin experimentation with unlisted powders.

your revolver. That is why we added muzzle brakes to several guns for our last 2 African hunts, mine included. I seldom take pics of my own personal guns but here is my 510 GNR with the brake on it for my lion.

If you need a second shot, plus Really works at taming recoil. Gary turns them down to match the barrel contour perfectly.
