What in tarnation?! This was not what I was thinking
I guess it’s ok, perhaps unique. I’ve owned a Kahr CW40 and a P40 previously. I liked them but eventually sold them. I still use the .45 and .380 versions. The .40 was a beast! Recoil was very sharp and literally painful with 180-200 gr. ammo (just tolerable, .41 mag. range with 135-165 gr. rounds) due to the very light 16oz. weight and 3/4” wide plastic grip. Time has blurred my memory and I keep an eye out for impassable bargains.
This one I could not pass! Basically new for penny’s on the dollar. I collected it today and something is amiss! I’ve never seen this before, even being an enthusiast of the brand. It seems to be a P40 slide and barrel but built on the PM 5-shot mag chassis. The two finger grip is a certain tell. But the dust extension is certainly P40 length. It came with a 6 shot mag I took for a 7.

So if I complained about the small surface area imparting recoil it should be fun with one and a half fingers less! My favorite .40 load is the old Lyman 170 gr. SWC either plain or HP at 1000 fps. No doubt to be a salty customer in this rig. Carried 5+1 in the pocket it will be handy backed by an extra 7-shot mag. I never knew this model even existed.
