spent 5 days there. My sisters flew in and we had a good time visiting and catching up.

While I was there an old friend who lives in San Antonio came by for a visit. He had seen some pictures of me teaching my grandsons to shoot and said he had something to give me. This is what he brought and gave to me for the grandsons.

It is a Savage Model 24C called "The Campers Companion" .. in .22 LR and 20 gauge. He said he bought the gun years ago and it has not been fired.

It has an access to the stock so you can carry extra ammo.

It's a little big for the boys right now but they will grow into it!

Very nice gift...Those boys will cherish that in use with Grandad!!
