Desert Eagle has a bottled necked .429 DE -- looks off U tube like the .429 GNR -- any way just thought it interesting. No interest in DE's so I will stick with Garys stuff

Eagle 429 is just a rip off of my 429 GNR. I haven't seen the cartridge yet but I wouldn't doubt it. That seems to be the way things are going these days. Thanks the note Lynn.

It is really sad that you have no recourse.
If you sue the only people that get any money are the attorneys. The company shrugs and moves on and you the wronged party pays your attorneys.

names ripped off but nothing I can do about it. Our Hellcat was out for 4 years and doing well, then it was "borrowed" by another company and is now one of their big items. There are several others that were borrowed by one of the big companies but no sense whining about it as there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. And some of my calibers have been stolen too. One that was really blatantly stolen was not one of mine but it still pisses me off. That is J.D. Jones 300 Whisper. He had it out for 30 years and then another company just plain stole it and changed the name to the 300 Black Out. J.D. has been a friend for many years and due to that theft I will never chamber a gun in or sell a gun in the 300 Black Out caliber.
So life goes on and nothing I can do about it.

I don't think it's offered anymore. It was not a bad idea for the behemoth gun. The idea was said to give less recoil and flatter trajectory compared to the .50. You can actually drop a .429 GNR cartridge down into a .50 AE brass. LOTS bigger. But surprisingly the .429 GNR revolvers that Gary built are not really behind in performance when compared and offer a whole bunch more versatility. (BTW the .50 Beowulf is the same as the .50 AE, just a longer case)

The Big .50 AE has a .44 Magnum rim diameter and with one gun you can convert them from .44 Mag., to .429 AE, to .50 AE with only barrel and mag swaps. Cost though runs $500 and up for a barrel, mags are not cheap either.

Roman has a .50 (he just HAD to get one) and it's interesting, BIG, heavy, and expensive to shoot. But even people who know nothing about guns know it on sight. I guess the movies...
