at a convenience store to defray tuition and living expenses. Although it was against the policy of the company I carried concealed while working.

At the time I carried a Taurus M85 snubnosed revolver chambered in 38 Special. The gun was rated for +P ammo so I carried the Federal "FBI" load( 158 grain LSWCHP gas check) . Thankfully I never had to use it but it was very comforting.

Many Connecticut State Police knew I carried and a friend who was a trooper said make sure that you put them down because help was at least 20 minutes away. You see in Connecticut many towns have what is called a resident trooper. No town police to enforce laws but a state trooper who worked out of his home. That officer may be on patrol miles and miles away from his hometown.
