Reeder Custom Guns - I got this on the Sportsman's Devotional

and it sorta fit in with many of us, myself included.

Come Christmas I believe it can be easy for us to fall into wanting materialistic items, especially around the time of Christmas. I’ve seen people (even grown adults) be ungrateful for not getting the materialistic items that they wanted. Sometimes I think we need to sit down, and just be thankful for what we have. Breath in our lungs, roof over our heads, shoes on our feet, and food on our tables. Jesus who is the King of everything, humbly came to us in a manger, in a barn, wrapped in raggedy cloths. This Christmas I hope we will all be grateful for what we have, and not focus on what we do not. Because we all have the best gift of all in the gracious love of Jesus.

neat stuff was I getting for Christmas. I told him nothing. He looked at me like I was crazy. I pointed around the gun shop and asked him what else do I need. I have my health (somewhat) a wife that puts up with me and my guns and hunts, and all the big boy toys I could ever need. What else do I need. He just mumbled "yeah I guess" and walked off. Sometimes, like I posted above this, I get to thinking about something new that is out. Thank the Lord I usually get my head out of my ass and get thankful for what I already have and remember that there is nothing more that I need.

You can't take it with you 'cause you ain't gonna need it where you're going. Remember; The New Heaven and the New Earth are WAY more different than you can even imagine. It's not all harps and singing all day, it's going to be the original way HE intended all along. The good ONE gave us some time to realise we'd be better off doing it HIS way all along. Hang in there, the good times are a comming!!!!

True Christmas spirit, thankfulness. I’m just happy to still be here. All my kids are sick with the flu. Mom is over it, I take so many vitamins I glow, so far so good. It’s good to be here together. We’ll get well, it’s not really life threatening. God Is good.

I’m very grateful, my cup runneth over for sure. Thankful for my friends and fellow Misfits too. Got way more than I will ever deserve, every single day. Thank God for simple blessings, pray for peace and guidance for the people hurting and less fortunate. I’m very empathetic to the Taffin’s family sadness, and I know another Misfit who suddenly lost a son-in-law this week. I know God is in control, and always fulfills his promises. Praise Jesus, Savior of the world, the focus of our celebration. This world is temporary for all, this place is not our home. Be thankful for our worldly blessings we enjoy.

that the grumpiest folk around this time of year are the ones focused on "self". The happiest are the ones that are thinking of others and giving of themselves or their worldly goods to others, especially to those in need. When we focus on what we can give instead of what we might get we come to realize the truth of Jesus' words - "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
