Talking to a fellow about an Africa hunt and I mentioned

Hunting this week, and though I didn't bring one home, it was a blast being in the thickets with my 1911 45 running fp + p. I really wanted to get one with that 45!

I did miss one out in the field with a 243 , shot over a spotted sow tgat was a little closer than I thought. Was hunting some Land Trust land and it was a blast, had some piglets come to within about 8 feet from me in the thick mess.

Guy I was hunting with killed a 267 Lb sow and that was a chore getting her a mile to his truck! He had a cart but she turned over a couple times, and the cart came apart a couple times! Pull 50 yards and take a break , he couldn't use his right arm to pull and I couldn't use my left because of surgery a couple months ago , I don't care to do that again for a while ha ha!
