Apparently, Remington has developed and is soon to release a new cartridge based on the 30-30, ostensibly in .355-.358 caliber. It's alleged to use a sub 1.8" straight-wall, though most likely and annoyingly tapered, case to comport with the various states that require such for hunting.

Looks like a slightly longer 357 Maximum

Trades sub-caliber versatility of the 357 Max for minor case capacity bump and slight and unneeded taper for feeding.

Should have been necked up to 10mm/.40 caliber.

I'll have to do it myself and fire-form some in my 400 GNR contender.

it's a thing of the times. Look at the Legend

a full copy of the 357 Maximum. Holds about a grain more powder than the 357 Max but they are claiming it is good for large game and is a long range hunting round. People will fall for the BS the gun magazines are spouting for this new 360 Buckhammer cartridge just as they are the Legend.
