Well.. Dang it , did this today
Hunted all deer season, and been hog hunting last week with Ethan's Axis 243 because it was light enough to shoot and carry after shoulder surgery back in September.
Took a decent buck for our area with , easy neck shot. Today was the last day of deer season , and I am letting the rifle down out of the stand , and... the rope slips.. and now I owe Ethan a stock and a scope! Just my luck!!
Will try and epoxy it , maybe for a spare, but it snapped right in half and bent the scope! Time to hunt him a stock now.

I did a Tasco like that--but also had my rifle fall
about 20 feet from a stand and it did nothing and kept its zero.. land in a bush and was butt down with muzzle up when I got to it-- was it cold there? If so maybe that effected the stock- At least it made to the end of season
Nope wasn't cold this week, mid 50s it landed
At an angle , heard the snap and then saw I had a 2 piece stock. Waiting for a call from Savage to see if they will sell me a stock.
Guess it's a good thing it had a youth stock on it , he needs an adult stock anyway, and a scope
