studio in Nashville. I wrote the "song" in about an hour, recorded it along with the background music in another hour and registered it in another hour or so. Then laughing at my own cry baby record, I sat down and recorded another version of the Rain record making fun of myself. I had a good time with it, sold several thousand copies of it to bored housewives who like to cry and the flip side for those that like to laugh. A friend said the flip side called ALONE was the only record he knew of that had a commode flushing in it. I had a good friend Bobby Goldsboro who recorded a song named Honey and had most of the women in the U.S. crying so I did this one just to say I can do it too. Bobby's was much much better and much more professional. Mine was, well, just mine.
Not sure where that copy came from. I had a few hundred left over that I have stashed away somewhere. Most folks these days don't know what a 45 RPM is.
