hook up. What a blessing and the uniting is indeed due to Gary and his life. God Bless!
Here is the old gun. I probably should have just let GNR refinish the .357 but a Misfit is wound differently. Logic be-damned. .41 Magnums are more befitting our collective character.
My personal quest began at the untimely death of my law enforcement Uncle Ed. His body was found by his ex-wife and before calling authorities she got a couple hill-billy scoundrels to come in a clean the place out. These S&W N-frame stocks were scratched up and dirty, found in an ashtray. An overlooked valuable remnant of the raid. I was presented the grips as a material token of his life and my memories.
Motivated, I restored the stocks (have you seen the ASKING prices for them lately?!), and sought a fitting tribute gun to place them upon. In essence creating a family heirloom honoring not only Uncle Ed but both his father and uncle (Waymon) who were also involved in law enforcement. Stonecold kindly offered a base gun at a very reasonable price for the project to come into fruition. Plus I got to meet him and his lovely life-partner wife Mrs. Georgia. So it's not just a happenstance thing, not just a gun, it's a legacy.
