A red Jeep and a (4) wheel Kawasaki electric motorcycle. Both cost a princely $300 and were powered by the same type 12V battery. Man would they rip! One setting was a torquey 3 mph, the second a smoking 6! I can't run that fast very long. It took 1.5-3 hrs. to charge them up (it got longer as the cycles of charging added up) for them to ride about 30 minutes, then it was 20 minutes, then 10. Then the batteries needed replacing at $50 each from Wal-mart. I should have bought some 900cca deep-cycle lead truck batteries and modded a mount for them! But the kids grew out of them.
The experience is exactly the same as if you would go buy a fully electric automobile except the numbers are exponentially larger. Sure it would be fun for a while. After you spent $2500 for an electrician to mod your service for a high amp charging connection. But if you are so inclined help yourself! I'm not going to be your kill-joy. Just don't try to fill me full of crap about how it's going to me all you can buy soon and save the planet. BS! Capitalism is driven my consumers and their free demand. The tail does not wag the dog.
I'm just not on this boat. Also I'm not stupid or zealous. It's true, the terrible environmental impacts electric batteries and cars have. It's all a farce, human influenced climate change, on any measurable scale. My formal education is in environmental science, BTW.
Well, why don't you tell us exactly how you feel
