Saturday afternoon it measured 42 inches in our front yard.

This area is a small part of our front yard that is protected from the wind.

It started snowing hard Saturday evening and by early last night it measured 73 inches in the same front yard.

The spruce tree in both pictures is a bit over 8 feet tall. This is an area that had no drifts as it has no wind. Our real front yard is in the wind and I measured it a few minutes ago at 78 inches in one area. It has been snowing hard for the last 2 days and we have had to dig our trucks out twice. The picture was last night.

I just cleared the snow off Colleen's truck

she is hard headed about driving her truck tomorrow morning, no matter how bad the weather is. I put a measuring tape on the roof of her truck and it measured 43 inches. It is a bit in the wind so I am sure if it had been completely out of the wind it would have been a few inches more. We are expecting more snow tomorrow, then a break on Wednesday and back to snow on Thursday and Friday.
As this mess ends it is headed eastward so you guys back east of us get your snow knickers out. If it turns to rain as it rolls over Texas it could be a real toad strangler.

Man, I'd start some hot chocolate and throw another log on

Good weather for a great book or some fun tinkering.

I agree with Scott....
