One of the big advantages of dogs versus wives is that if you do lock them in the trunk of your car, when you finally let the woman out she's going to be really mad at you, versus when you let the dog out it'll act glad to see you...

My grandfather would lock his hunting dogs in the trunk of his car, you couldn't stand be around them once they saw a gun. Pull up to the next hunting spot open the trunk, went to work on quail.

60’s we used digs to deer hunt. A lot of the old timers would pull up in old Fords and Chevys, open their trunks and have 3 to 5 hunting hound’s riding in there. At the end of the day they would all pile back in on command to go home
