aren't most of them so leaning. His brief (my opinion) contributions to the music I listened to as a youth are appreciated. I hate to hear of his passing, I pray for God to rest his soul.

Neil Young joined them it got crazy liberal. But everytime a group goes liberal and starts bad mouthing this country they always pay for it in the end. Groups like The Guess Who, Jackson Browne, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Heart, Dixie Chicks, Joni Mitchell, Jefferson Airplane, Bruce Springsteen, toward the end John Lennon who got liberal, Tom Petty, and a lot more.
Just like the actors of today a lot of the rock & roll groups seemed to think we needed their opinion of the shape of the country which usually meant bad mouthing this country. In rock & roll attitudes like that just came back and bit them in the ass.

Clearwater, he was a good ol' boy, owned guns and such, then got with the wrong crowd, recorded songs like Fortunate Son which caused the group to break up. John's brother wouldn't speak to him again, Even on his death bed he wouldn't speak to John. This got to John and he went back to the good ol' boy songs. It was too late for CCR as they had split up but he started doing stuff by himself. In an interview he was asked what he had been doing in the year since he recorded anything. He said he was catching up on his hunting. I had been totally anti CCR and anti John Fogerty but after he "came clean" in that interview I changed my attitude toward him.
