need to watch this little information from a lawyer. Those that have tried to register their brace may very well end up being charged with a crime because you owned that firearm that was to be listed as a SBR (short barreled rifle) before you actually got the stamp to legally have it.

I have been looking at the Spikes Tactical "pistol tube" that comes in several sizes, colors, and sports a QD swivel hole in the back. Run from $50-75 depending if you need the guts or not. Then make sure your old parts are not in the same zip code. You have a legal pistol again. At least until this is all sorted, I'm certain it will be, but it may take time. I'm going to sit this out.

One rig I had originally had a pistol tube. Kase actually built it as a pistol. Just a tube with some foam around it. It could not take any added "stocks" or braces so it was legit.

The AR pistols can be very effective used with a good strap.
