since 1991. It is not a fun cartridge to reload, however, for me, the pros outweigh the cons. It is flat shooting, different bullet configurations, and is inherently accurate. Not to mention, there is an aftermarket trigger and barrel. There is definitely some recoil associated with the cartridge, but once one gets used to it, you'll find it quite manageable. It's not for everyone but if you take the time it won't let you down. The 22 TCM was purchased when they were first introduced. At the time they didn't even have dives or brass for sale. I was advised that Hornaday was going to put out a cartridge that could produce 2400 ft./s. I haven't seen that, ever. The 1911 platform is nice and the cartridge is accurate even if it only produces around 2000 feet per second. That is plenty of umph without much recoil. I do recommend having Gary slick it up.. Hope this helps.
