Reeder Custom Guns - 41 gnr in 410 gnr

I just bought another 410 gnr. The seller said he only fired 41 gnr in it. When I questioned him he said he discovered the error after about 25 rounds. The gun looks fine and I don’t see any reason 41 gnr rounds would damage the gun. Anybody else have any thoughts?

bulged big time and have been hard to extract. Check it out good as it was obviously owned by a person that wasn't a gun guy.

if that did indeed happen I figure the expansion and likely case split lowered pressures drastically. The bullet would have been in the cylinder throat and be propelled out. Gasses sure could have been hot at the recoil shield but I can't think of any real damage other than gas blowing. I can't imagine not catching it on the reload. That is the only confounding thing, even for a non-enthusiast. Should have noted something afoul, but you never know.

Not as drastic but I NEVER would have caught it, fired .44/40 in a .45 Colt. Cases looked perfectly like .45 Colts. I just happened to remember I did not load any .45 Colt SWC that time. I even re-sized the .44/40 cases back into .44/40's a continued to use the brass.
