In one direction don’t they? You can overpower the locking bolt to rotate one direction but not the other? No one ever mentions that in a review.

Roman found a really nice one in original .455, pretty nice original or military refinish. Only pics right now.

The guy iOS willing to take substantially less and has one box of Hornady ammo. Roman has odd taste. Coming from me I’m a bit shocked!

getting raped. You could buy a real gun for less than that.

I think I could re-sell well. They have gone way high

The ones he tried on auction. I think he negotiated a buy for $600, no tax, cash and carry. I’ve never had one. Tried to buy one in college in the early 80’s. Guy wouldn’t get off $300, I could have bought a nice Security-six for that so I passed. My only interest was the story of Pondero Taylor carrying one while Elephant hunting. He dispatched a marauding lion with one! A ballsy trick, but it was thought big medicine back then.

My sincere thanks to Mr. Taffin for his excellent article on the .455 a while back! One of the few written works worthy of historical reference.

Couple cylinders full, some coon fingering, I’ll have my curiosity filled.

60 years ago they were $10 or so each ...

in big wooden barrels at the Yellowfront stores in Arizona.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if it isn't a blessing to not remember some of that stuff? :-)

Yeah, when I first became a FFL in mid-1980’s

I was buying nice SKS in cosmoline for $59 each, ditto Lee Enfields and Mausers of all kinds for $50-75. Today a good KAR-98 is $1000+. No.4 MKI are $750 ish.
