What's the best base gun for Trail Gun?

Cherry's Fine Guns had a couple .32 H&R S.S. at fair market price. You don't have to convert the frame to centerfire. Mainly change to a 5-shot timing, cylinder, and barrel. I have a .40 from a .32 H&R and it is a powerful delight.

Don't discount one of the small frame Vaqueros or smaller .357 chassis guns, the weight different is hardly at all. The .40 brass is so cheap compared to 10mm and I can load a 10mm charge, simply seat the bullet at 10mm OAL specs. Cheap 10mm! An old Indian trick.

Single Six. In just about any of our conversions we are going to use the frame and some of the internal parts. Very seldom are we going to use the barrel, cylinder, aluminum gripframe or grips. You pay for new parts so that is what you get. Like WB said it would be better in the long run to do the 10mm conversion on the 357 Magnum Blackhawk or another centerfire revolver. We can lighten up the gun to make it about the same weight as the Single Six.
