that he titled it "warning shots" after missing twice. Too rattled or inept to center the cat, because both were too close to the cat for a true "warning shot" (ie: barely missing) but well within the "incompetent pistol shot misses again" impact zone.
OR he's a really good shot and decided to skip them by real close, risking the chance of barely wounding the cat.
Either way, he'd have been better off shooting the cat when it moved into the clear and gave him a clear shot.
