I talked to my friend and Professional Hunter John Abraham in Africa this morning, actually his evening as they are 9 hours ahead of us. Anyway I have some health problems that mostly relate to me being older than dirt. But one more trip to Africa is on my bucket list (I know, I said this twice already on my last 2 Africa hunts), but I am actually serious this time.
I am in the process of planning this hunt for sometime mid June or early July which is winter in South Africa and a great time to hunt there. If you want to hunt Africa I would love to have you with me on this hunt. The hunt is not an extremely expensive hunt like most folks think. The daily rates are $450 a day so for an 8 day hunt the daily rates would be $3600. To book this hunt you need to pay half of the daily rates which would be $1800. That's it for now. The daily rates cover your trackers, skinners, food, lodging, everything except the price of the animal you shoot. This is why Africa is the best hunt going these days. Just as an example if you shoot 4 animals that run $4000 at the end of the hunt when you get back John's wife Lauri will e-mail you your total bill and you can take a few weeks to pay it off. So it is a simple and not an expensive hunt. If you spend $4000 (as an example) on the animals plus your $3600 daily rates you have spent 8 days in Africa hunting for less than $8000. You can't beat that.
If you want to join me on this hunt you will need a passport, that's it. And the half of the daily rates to book the hunt.
I don't have all the details on this hunt yet as I want to see if there are enough folks that want to go before I book the exact dates. The camp will hold 7 hunters (including me) and I have 2 friends that want to go so I have 4 openings left. Normally these hunts book up really quick so if you want to join me on this hunt, let me know soon. 928-526-3313, or 928-527-4100.
