overseas) a lot of my southern friends had names like Skeeter, Bubba, Booger, Gator, Shitbird and so on. Another possibility here is whoever has that gun was told it was customized by a gunsmith in Atlanta named Skeeter and he assumed it was Skeeter Skelton.
