The problem I'm seeing is that people don't understand how the legal system works in this country.
There are currently three preliminary injunctions against the ATF to stop them from enforcing their Arm Brace Ruling. I believe the first actual case is going to court on June 29 in New Orleans.
All three preliminary injunctions are in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals (Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi) and involve FPC (Firearms Policy Coalition), GOA (Gun Owners of America), and SAF (Second Amendment Foundation), their members, and several arm brace manufacturers.
I see people posting on the internet that they are “protected” because they are a member of one of the above groups. But, unless they live in one of the three states in the 5th Circuit, they ARE NOT protected!
What happens in one circuit, does NOT apply to the entire country.
So go ahead and join one of the above groups (they can always use more members and more money) but, unless you live in one of the three states in the 5th Circuit, don’t assume you are “protected” from the ATF and the courts because of these preliminary injunctions.
