After we visited Gary we drove to Phoenix and visited friends and family. Then went to Tucson and visited Paco as I posted earlier. I dropped Tom at the airport and I headed off toward home. Wednesday I drove to Carlsbad, NM and spent the night, then drove on in yesterday. I stayed mostly on the "back" roads. Here in Texas they are usually 75MPH though most folks don't drive that slow. I passed several cops running 80 but I was one of the slower ones. Traffic was light except for when I hit San Angelo and Lampassas. Often I could see no vehicle ahead or behind.

It was a good trip .. got to see a lot of old friends .. and remember those who have left us.

Glad you made it back, safe and sound!

I am old enough it's no fun traveling distances by myself. And I don't like driving at night anymore. Used to be I would take off and drive all night and most of the next day. These days about 4 hours on the road and I am ready for a motel! :-)

It was good seeing

Jim,
Glad to know you are home safely.
It was good seeing you at Holiday.
I hope Paco is well.

Alan

He is doing good. At 85 he is a bit slower than at 50
