Ruger is proud to announce the reintroduction of the Marlin® Model 1894™ Classic. Chambered in .44 Rem Mag, the Model 1894 Classic sports a beautifully-finished American black walnut straight stock and forend and the clean and crisp checkering accentuates both the aesthetics and utility of this truly iconic rifle.

Will be keeping a look out for that one!

How about one in .454 please?

They won't take it. Hammers the gun apart.

The locking bolt is at an angle and the bolt just hammers back and up. A guy who has long since passed worked on them and the Winchester 94 for several years trying to get them to work. All told .. if I remember correctly .. he wrecked 19 rifles trying to get them to work.

Freedom Arms tried it in the 94. I shot the gun before it loosened up and started hammering itself apart. Winchester was thinking of converting some and Bob Baker sent them their test results. Winchester dropped the idea.

Holding out for the stainless steel (same for the 336)
