I designed the new LYNX revolver I came up with 2 prototypes.
In every new model there is almost always 2 prototypes, one that ends up being the production gun and the other that is normally a bit fancier and flashier. The LYNX series was the same. The one that ended up being the production gun was not as flashy and was more compact with a shorter barrel and a more compact gripframe.
The LYNX that was not chosen was actually my favorite but Kase and Colleen outvoted me and picked the other model.
So now as usual the other prototype goes up for sale. It is completely different from the other gun. This prototype that is available has a beefy 8" barrel. It has the Positive Performance Package and is very accurate and smooth. It has the Belt Mountain base pin for the utmost in accuracy. It has the Magnum Gripframe with a set of black Corian grips. It has the interchangeable blade front sight system with the gold bead blade. The gun is chambered in 44 Magnum and with the beefy 8" barrel, unfluted cylinder and the Magnum gripframe it should make a great big game hunting revolver. The gun is finished in our deluxe Black Chromex with gold accents on the logo and Lynx's eyes and gold on the base pin, hammer and trigger. All in all this is one of the nicest revolvers we have built in a long while. Being a prototype it should run around $3000. I have it priced at $2495.
