I've been doing some "antiquing" to my Pietta 1851 Navy. I am not trying to fake an antique ... I just want it to look older. What some are called a "distressed finish."
I removed the blueing on the metal and the finish on the grips.

A couple days ago I set to work draw filing and sanding the lettering off the barrel.

I am no gunsmith and I know Gary and his crew could do a better job, but it's coming along nicely and I am enjoying doing it.
