16.4% increase in deer taken from 2022 over 2021. About half taken with bow or crossbow. Unfortunately deer permit sales were slightly down and I guess that’s the number we’d like to see increase.

Connecticut as you know is a tough state to hunt. It is hard to get private land permission. The only alternative is to hunt state owned land and your best bet seems to be the archery seasons.
