That's not a factory barrel in my opinion. I wonder what caliber he used? Great trophies!

Bob (FA) does not like the porting as he had some issues working with it. I have a ported one Gary did for me and it shoots better than any rifle I've owned. It's a .378 GNR. I'd love to have another barrel in .30 GNR, so I COULD shoot .30-30 Win. in a pinch. Bob worked out a rimless extractor system but I think that rig should always have a nice rimmed cartridge. The action does not lend itself well to a rim bigger than a .45-70. They are Contender light (kick smartly) and have a very small trigger guard opening. FWIW.
