Retiring for the second time at 77, half the
hair, half the eyesight, half the hearing, twice the fun, time for the guns again.
Congrats. I’m ‘retiring’ at the end of the month
But continuing on Special Payroll for 3 days a week. Had to do it that way so they could hire someone for my current position. Yes, more shooting, exercise, music, new house projects, got a Harley Roadster this year so plenty to do.
I hate the thought of retiring. I realize retirement will
one day come whether of my own choosing or not. I would like to take an extra day or so off to do some small game hunting but full retirement scares me. What am I going to do, watch Oprah all day. I think I will just keep on keeping on til God lets me know it is time.
I really enjoy developing new products and new calibers
and promoting them. I may have reached the limit on my new cartridges but we shall see on that. I really enjoy starting things like the HHC and watching it get popular and then spending time with old friends that I don't get a chance to see other than every year or two at the HHC. Meeting new friends at the HHC is also one of my favorite things. So with all these things for me to do, why even consider retiring.
I will retire on June 30, 2025

Ive presold my business already. The thought scares the hell out of me but the staff I’m training are smart and can continue on without me. Unlike most who slowly phase out I’m going to work balls to the wall up to the last day. I know my plan is against ordinary wisdom but I need to see this thru. You are all invited to one kick ass retirement party august 2025.
