He just ordered a .50 BMG pistol (not joking) special for the occasion?!! I tried with the boy but it just rooted a little too deep. Lol. Better blowing money on guns than shave-tail or drugs. Better than hot rods and motorcycles too. Keep a gun long enough and you’re bound to come out, if it’s a good one.

His best bet is to bring one round, just one

to show what the gun shoots. If he brings more everybody is going to want to shoot it and at $3 a round that could get expensive. Actually the best thing would be bring a case of ammo and then have his old man charge $4 a round to shoot it.

More fun to watch I bet!

.50 BMG is cheaper to shoot than many rifles these days! I can’t buy .416 Rigby brass for $3! I can buy military rounds cheaper than I can load myself. A 700 gr. FMJ projectile is only $1. Plus a little goes a LONG way! Lots of fun packed in each round, for me anyway. Surprising recoil is not bad, about like a shotgun shooting slugs.

Good for him! Carpel tunnel takes years….

Both were bolt action single shot pistols

Yeah, 16" with brake, it has a stock you can put on.

Cheapy aluminum on a picatinny mount. He did order a better stock and recoil pad too. It is really made to use with a bi-pod too. I think it weighs about 16-17 lbs. and has a dandy effective brake. The short barrel also drops MV about 300 fps. He just wanted to try it for giggles and to WOW the HHC dudes. That itself is really fun. I'll get enough rounds together for anyone to try that wants to. Denning is gearing up also, it should be quite the show!

...then he comes to me and says, "Hey dad, I need you to load me a few rounds...." lol Actually it's cheaper right now to buy surplus at $3 per, than load them at $3.50-$4 each or so. That sounds high until you buy hunting rounds for a larger bore rifle or Weatherby etc. They are $80-100 per box of (20). Crazy that you can shoot .50 BMG cheaper!

Lots advertized but guys selling allotments

They are backordered 10+ weeks. We found one in FDE in stock at the list price, lots of price gouging and prices are bound to go up. He should come out ok on the money. Better than putting it in a savings account! If you don't think you will need instant cash. IMO

Many years back when I bought a 50 BMG pistol I had my experienced video my first shot at the range. Exciting was a small word for a lot of fun. I had a beautiful gun then but didn’t like the bolt without a safety. It’s brake was a disign of the old sherman tank. I sold it back to the manufacturer to put my wife through nursing school. If I had a cell phone photo I ‘d post it but I have to put a picture of a picture on here later. Gonna be some real fun at HHC this year.

that sounds like the one thata friend

Israeli bring back converted to .308 and semi-auto. It’s slated to be sold for whatever Roman’s remaining college loan is. Lol. I’m sure it will make someone a deal and achieve our goal. If I can get it going maybe another for HHC play.
