Making paper cartridges is sort of "labor intensive" as it takes time and there is no way to do it quickly. But it is a great way to relax when the weather is not conducive to activity outside. Or it's a nice way to spend a quiet evening.
Get a bunch made up ahead of time and it reduces the work load.
I am finding I shoot the .36's much more than the .44. They are easier on lead and powder and they are accurate.
During the Civil War the standard issue
To the Union troops was .36 and .44 paper cartridges.
I wonder. did they have machinery to make paper cartridges?
Or were they all made by hand?
With all the talk about black powder and such, I
wonder if WB knows the 7 different particle sizes of black powder.

Rifle cartridges?
Looks to me like he's checking a rifle cartridge. The ladies at the table have large ammo boxes in front of them and the cartridges look kinda big so that would be my guess....
Working with a lot of ladies and explosives
was why I figured maybe some whiskey.
To be fair, if it was a bunch of men I might have a larger bottle!
