I have a very special 41 Magnum I just finished

The gun itself is a rare one. S&W only made a very few of their N frame guns with a 7½" barrel. Smith was known for their 4, 6, 8 3/8, and 10½" barrels, very few 7½" barrels were ever made. I managed to get 2 of them recently. Each were 7½" full underlug, polished stainless steel and in the model 657. I kept one of the guns for myself and ruined the collector value by rechambering it to 41 GNR and have plans to use it at the HHC in 3 weeks. I also have a very special S&W in 41 Magnum, but first here is the first of the 2 guns.

Now here is the other S&W 657 in the very rare 7½" barrel. It is high polished stainless steel and full engraved. It is chambered in the original 41 Magnum. This is the gun I have just finished and is for sale. It is drilled and tapped for scope mount by S&W. S&W (by the Blue Book) has discontinued the model 657 in all barrel lengths so that just makes this beauty even more desirable. The last listing I find for the stainless 8 3/8" model 657 was a bit over $1200 and that was 4 years ago. This very special model 657 is one of only few made and no longer made. The normal retail on this gun would be around $1695. With the special work gone into this gun plus the fact that it is one of very few made and stainless model 657s are non existent these days, makes it worth considerably more. The book on that makes it around $2395. I have it priced at $1895.
