well, if it could happen, it will. Apparently

American Airlines way overbooked the various flights to Nashville and to solve this problem they shut several of the flights down, including mine. Kase was on another flight and he made it into Nashville and should be getting to the lodge about now. Two of the other hunters had a very early flight like Kase did and I think they made it in.

My flight was at 7 AM out of Flagstaff to Phoenix but the flight into Phoenix and then to Nashville was so over booked they shut it down to start over and by that time it was over booked again. Colleen was up til after midnight trying to find me a flight getting into Nashville. She was talking to the flight booking people and they would find an open flight but before Colleen could give them the OK to book it, it was booked. Flights going from Phoenix to Dallas, booked, going to Tampa, booked, in fact to just about every major city were over booked, so they just shut it down and start over. To route me to Dallas and then onto Nashville required a 10 hour lay over sitting in Dallas waiting for the flight.

I booked 2 months ago but was dumped when they over-booked. So I get to try again tomorrow and hopefully my flight won't be shut down again due to over booking. Thank goodness my guys are all either there or will be soon. Colleen's big 15 passenger van is crammed full with all our gear including the guns and ammo. So at least all my guys and a couple of ladies will be able to hunt until I get there late Friday or early Saturday, just in time to pack up and head home. What a mess.

BUILD BACK BETTER!

It's funny how I just got an e-mail telling me

that I need to hurry that I only have 19 hours and 15 minutes to catch my flight out of Flagstaff. Makes me want to call them up and as my old Grannie used to say "give them a piece of my mind" but as I don't have much to spare, I held off on that. But the airport in Flagstaff had nothing to do with the over booking on flights into Nashville. That was all on American Airlines shoulder. But this is how Biden is making things better for all of us.

The more time I spend in the US the more I feel

in airfare plus all the other little things like several hundred dollars in gas for the van, a loss of 3 days of work for me and my guys and the airlines screws it up and all we get is "oops, sorry". If I thought I could get a refund on the airfare I would call it a wash.

I understand. And hate to see you miss out.

Living in Africa we learned that you cannot trust on regular things always working and it is getting more and more that way here.

American Airlines reminds me of Mozambican Airlines ..

The Portuguese name "Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique" is usually just called "LAM" ... which has been interpreted as "Late And Maybe."

Since coming back from Mozambique, every time I flew American Airlines it was Late And Maybe. I refuse to fly them any more.

In fact, I really don't want to fly at all anymore.

Man I hate that this is happening to you
