Back in 2006 3 friends and myself spent a week in the Alaskan bush, up near the Arctic Circle. We had worked at getting ready to do this for over a year. We shipped stuff to the one guy who lived in Alaska, then flew in to meet each other there.

We all met up in Fairbanks and provisioned there, then drove up to Circle on the Yukon River. There we put the boat in the water and went North until we found a site that looked good for camping and hunting. An amazing time in amazing country!

We were hunting wolves and bear, and while we never connected it was one of THE BEST hunts I have ever done! I believe everyone else felt the same way. To this day it was one of the best memories of hunts that I have.

I had posted photos and text on Leverguns years ago but somehow the link to them was never posted. Just the other day I discovered they are still on there and if you are interested, you can access the pages via this link: https://www.leverguns.com/alaska/Default.htm

I spy a couple of classic Eureka Timberlines.

Exactly the same as the ones I used there in 1982. Some of my most memorable hunts were in Alaska also.
Thanks for sharing.

the near tent is mine. I still have it. It works really well and stays dry even in really wet weather. A small "two man" tent, it has enough room for one guy and his crap. Which was all I want.

Even after some time, powerful photos.

The write up and photos even with time conjure obtainable adventure for a new generation. That is much more powerful than some might imagine.

Thank you for your continued positive influence. We take it for granted but it is highly appreciated.
