The alarm that went off this morning at 11:20 (our time)

reminds me of the Y2K scare. We had all our guns locked and loaded on that one. Even businesses were worried of what might happen at 1 minute after midnight on that crazy day.
We only had a couple of days to worry about today's scare whereas we had months to worry and get ready for Y2K. Looking back it seemed silly to worry about the world stopping spinning due to calendars running out of days, but at the time it made sense.
